The following interviews were conducted by BBC News this weekend at the official 2012 Doctor Who Convention. A lot of the chat is about the event, but there’s also little bit on Series 7.

Lucky attendees at this weekend’s official Doctor Who convention got to see the first trailer for Series 7. But for those of us stuck at home, the trailer has just found its way on to the internet thanks to Timeboy. It’s from a phone cam so quality is low, but it will be released officially on Monday at 9am.

Before the new companion was announced, BBC America interviewed Steven Moffat at the SXSW 2012 event.

Moffat chats about the Ponds and their future with the Doctor in Series 7: “As you saw at Christmas, [the Doctor's] relationship with them is more complex, more entangled. He is after all, in a sort of mad way, their son-in-law.

“He continues that relationship in slightly different way for him. They do get older, they age a little.”

He also talks his plans for blockbuster episodes, Toby Whithouse’s wild west episode, Twitter, and his future.

David Tennant was a guest on Chris Moyles’ Radio 1 Show yesterday morning. He spoke about his time on Doctor Who, leaving and the current run of the show.

Later in the show, a listener asked if he was excited to be involved in the 50th anniversary and he replied: “I’m not at present! I’m waiting for a phone call.”

Adding: “I’ve no idea if it’s even in the offing.”

See it in the player below. Note: The video only runs for the first few minutes, before switching to audio only.

Thanks to Julia for the heads up

The Cyber-Planner did not plan for this

Those of you eagerly awaiting new Doctor Who game The Eternity Clock will have to wait a little longer.

The official twitter account for the game stated: “Finishing touches just being added to Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock with the release now set for April – believe us, it’s worth the wait!”

See a gameplay walkthrough here.

Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock will launch globally on PS3 and PS Vita, via the PlayStation Network, in April 2012 with a PC version due shortly after.
