The amount of stars angling for a part in Doctor Who seems to be ever increasing. Just this week there’s been another two to add to the list.

First up is comedian, actor and star of The Mighty Boosh, Noel Fielding.

“I wouldn’t mind being on Doctor Who,” Fielding says in the Radio Times. “I like the guy who does it at the moment and I thought David Tennant was amazing, but next I think we need an androgynous, slightly dippy Doctor who gets everything wrong.”

Yesterday, Warwick Davis, most recently seen in BBC comedy Life’s Too Short, revealed it is one of his dream roles.

“Steven Moffat is somebody I want to talk to,” he said. “I love Sherlock and I would love to be in Doctor Who – it’s been a dream of mine for many years. I don’t want to play the Doctor, but a villain or something like that would be pretty good.”

Which actor would you like to see appear in Doctor Who? Let us know in the comments.

Thanks to Pdurston for the tip.

Imagine Noel Fielding as the Doctor. The most bizarre thing ever.

Is this really newsworthy? I mean there must be tons of actors who want parts in Doctor Who, and its nothing new either – there were tons of guest actors in the classic series. And when is the new Doctor Who TV logo coming guys?
