Doctor Who Leaves NTAs Empty-Handed
Doctor Who left the 2013 National Television Awards empty-handed tonight. The show lost out on the three categories it was nominated for.
Matt Smith was unable to secure Best Male Drama Performance which instead went to Colin Morgan for Merlin. Still, it was the last year of the show and Morgan deserves recognition.
Karen Gillan, meanwhile, was beaten by Miranda Hart (Call The Midwife) for Best Female Drama Performance.
2012 winner Downton Abbey scooped Best Drama again, beating Doctor Who, Merlin, and Sherlock.
Well, there’s always next year!
Step back in time...
