Moffat reaffirms no split for Series 8
Series 8 therefore will make it the first time since 2010 that Doctor Who will have a continuous, uninterrupted run.
Back in October, Moffat stated there would be at least 13 episodes for broadcast beginning Autumn 2014.
What still isn’t clear however is whether these 13 episodes include a Christmas special or not. Earlier reports did suggest that Series 8 would be slightly reduced to 12 episodes as opposed to 13. If true, the 13th episode will become next year’s festive special.
