Smith on his “Final Hour”, Hurt Revelations, 12th Doctor
Of note, Matt confirms he is shooting the Christmas special, which he refers to as “the final hour,” in September. He adds that Steven Moffat’s script is currently “about 20 pages in,” but he hasn’t read it yet.
Asked about John Hurt’s Doctor potentially being 8.5 and changing the mythology of the show: “I couldn’t possibly speculate as to what it’ll do to the show. What I can tell you is, you’re in for some serious revelations!”
Matt says he doesn’t know who the next Doctor is: “As far as I’m aware they’re looking, or they’re beginning to look and they’ve got quite a while until they need to decide. So I imagine it’ll be someone fresh to be honest, but I really have no idea.”
Asked for his ideal candidate: “Whoever it is will be will be the right actor…or actress. Let’s wait and see… who she is,” he says giving a look to the camera.
