Still No UK Doctor Who Air Date

We’re experiencing a case of deja vu. It looks as though we’re going to have to wait a little longer to officially hear Doctor Who’s Series 6 return date for the UK.

It was expected to be confirmed today as the BBC release programme info for the week including Saturday 27th August (the BBC America date). However, the show does not currently appear anywhere in their highlights.

It’s unlikely that Doctor Who will air in the US first. Torchwood: Miracle Day was an exception, due the nature of the co-production deal with Starz.

Doctor Who can still be added to the schedule as a late addition. Numerous media publications are reporting that Doctor Who will be airing in the UK Saturday 27th August, so we think (and hope) the BBC are just being fashionably late here.
