Torchwood: Miracle Day Opener Ratings
Unofficial overnight ratings for the opening episode of Torchwood: Miracle Day are now in.
The UK premiere of The New World was just shy of 5 million viewers with 4.8 million tuning in, a 21.1% share of the audience.
By comparison, 2009′s Children of Earth had 5.9 million watching the first episode, Day One.
The US premiere on Starz last Friday pulled in a total of 1.51 million viewers, (819,000 for the debut episode at 10pm and 687,000 for a repeat at 11pm).
Overnight ratings do not include those who recorded the show or watched on iPlayer.
