Torchwood USA Coming

US TV network Fox are developing an American version of Torchwood according to an article on The Hollywood Reporter today.

The report states that the original show creator Russell T Davies is on board writing the script. He will be joined by former Doctor Who producer Julie Gardner and Jane Tranter, the one responsible for bringing back Doctor Who in 2005.

Details are thin on the ground and several questions remain. Will any of the original cast remain? Does this effect Series 4 in the UK? Is it a reboot? And just how long will it take before Fox cancels yet another Sci-Fi show? We’ll just have to wait and see.

I hope they do make a series 4 of Torchwood but I hope it remains with the BBC and not ruined by Fox

Fox! What a joke. Anyone but me old enough to remember the night X-Files began? There were two hot new shows. one had already been canceled and the other was to be the nest big hit. The next big hit was called VR-5 and the canceled show WAS X-Files. The only way Fox gets a hit is by dumb luck.

Fox doing Torchwood would be a disaster. They can't do anything right. I'd rather see the show die completely instead of getting butchered to pieces by an "American" version, PARTICULARLY one on Fox.

if theres gonna be a series 4 in the UK, theyll probably cast russel tovey as alonso, as he and jack did meet in the bar.

we have the office they have an american workplace
we have doctor who and fox has to have a movie
we have torchwood and now this.
what's next?
I think it would be cool if the bar Jack's drinking at ripped apart bye the baddie and Jack hurtles into space until he reaches Earth.

Has Torchwood actually been confirmed that S4 coming out in UK?
I loved Torchwood, only Gwen & Jack are alive out of the TW team so it would have to be a new cast
