Xmas Filming: Mad as a Hatter

Filming continued on Doctor Who’s 2012 Christmas special earlier, with shooting taking place at Cathays Cemetery, Cardiff.

Matt Smith, Jenna-Louise Coleman (Clara), Neve McIntosh (Madame Vastra) and Catrin Stewart (Jenny) were all on location.

As captured by Ryan/Timeboy, one scene involved the Doctor, Vastra and Jenny mourning somebody at their grave. Who could it be? They also filmed a in a cemetery for episode 5, although it was a different one.

The Doctor, Vastra and Jenny lay flowers on a grave. The Doctor storms off. Vastra shouts: “Where are you going?!” The Doctor replies: “To find her! To find Clara!”

Interestingly, Jenna-Louise was wearing modern clothing this time. Does this put paid to previous speculation? Or does this occur later in the episode after a wardrobe change in the TARDIS, perhaps?
