New Doctor Who Spin-off Reportedly Filming Soon

There have been many rumoured new Doctor Who spin-off series since Russell T Davies returned to the show, and it seems that one of them might actually be gearing up to begin filming soon. Unfortunately, it’s not the Paul McGann one.

The title of the new show is the rather wordy “The War Between The Land And The Sea,” and according to industry site Production List, it is set to begin filming on March 4, 2024.

Previously, the show was reported to be a five-episode series focusing on monsters from Doctor Who, in this case, the Sea Devils (and possibly the Silurians too).

Indeed, the source seems to back this up, describing it as “A spin-off of the fantasy-action saga Doctor Who, featuring the Sea Devils.”

Like the main show, it will be written by Davies and produced by Phil Collinson, Vicki Delow, Julie Gardner, and Jane Tranter.

The BBC has not at the time of writing confirmed the show, though Davies has indicated that spin-offs are on the way.
