Doctor Who DJ Duo

A few weeks back Matt Smith and Karen Gillan spoke of a Radio 1 Christmas special, although they didn’t reveal any details at the time. The BBC has announced the duo will become Radio 1 DJs on Christmas Eve, which should be fun. More details follow.

Starting on Christmas Eve and continuing throughout Boxing Day, BBC Radio 1 broadcasts the Top 10s of 2010 – a series of one-hour shows presented by some of the biggest stars of the past year.

James Corden, Matt Smith and Karen Gillan and Tinie Tempah will star in the first installment.

In each show, the celebrity guest presenters have a single hour to take over Radio 1’s airwaves and play the 10 favourite tracks that remind them of the year.

Matt and Karen’s slot will broadcast between 8am and 9am on BBC Radio 1 December 24th.
