Norton is The Meddling Monk

It has been announced that Graham Norton is to guest star in Series 6 of Doctor Who.

Norton will play a new incarnation of The Meddling Monk, another Time Lord who last appeared in Doctor Who way back in 1966.

Norton’s Monk will be reunited with the Doctor when he turns up in episode 10 written by Tom MacRae.

The story will see the Monk hindering the Doctor’s every move as he tries to save earth from another invasion by the Autons.

Steven Moffat said: “Graham has already made the a couple of unexpected appearances in Doctor Who before, but this is the real deal. Graham is perfect for role of the Monk, so we snapped him up for a truly unforgettable appearance.”
