McCrory the Venice Vamp?

Harry Potter fans should be pleased with this latest bit of casting news. Narcissa Malfoy, aka actress Helen McCrory, has been cast in the fifth series of Doctor Who.

According to website Helen’s Haven, McCrory will be playing a character in episode six of the upcoming series. The episode is thought to be called Vampires in Venice, which might just feature some bloodsuckers up to no good in Venice. It wouldn’t surprise us in the least if McCrory was playing a vampire, perhaps the queen.

The episode is being written by Toby Whithouse who wrote series 2 episode, School Reunion and is behind BBC’s Being Human (which also features vampires).
