Series 7 Director & More Moffat Teasing
As Doctor Who gears up for filming on Series 7, there’s been a couple more updates.
The official website has now confirmed the first director this year and he’s new to the show:
The first director to shout ‘action’ will be the award-winning Saul Metzstein whose previous credits include Micro Men, the critically acclaimed Late Night Shopping and BBC Wales’ Upstairs Downstairs. For the very first time, Doctor Who will be produced at the new BBC Roath Lock Studios in Cardiff, which officially open in March.
Meanwhile, there’s been some more trademark teasing from Steven Moffat in an interview with the The University Observer:
“We just had our official day commencing pre-production on Doctor Who, so as for knowing when it’s actually going to be shown is a little bit optimistic. But we’ll definitely show it, and I’m pretty sure it will be the autumn.”
On Amy and Rory’s final scenes:
“I’m writing that right now, the big Rory and Amy heartbreaking finale. It will be quite heartbreaking. I think you’ll be in trouble watching it.”
Thanks to Mark.
