We have some intriguing story details for the fourth episode of Doctor Who Series 7.
We can’t be sure how big these spoilers are, so proceed at your own risk.
SPOILER: show
As anyone who has followed filming so far will know, the story features mysterious black cubes
that have fallen to earth.
According to a reliable set reporter, these cubes cause illness on unsuspecting victims. They are on a timer and when the countdown stops they open up and possibly release spores.
This illness also affects the Doctor at one point when he comes into close proximity to a cube. They are dangerous enough to cause one of his hearts to stop!
Part of the story takes place in a hospital (filmed in St Cadoc’s, the one featured The Eleventh Hour) where a little girl is located and she seems to know more about what’s going on. There are also twins working there who seem to play a part.
A very small part of the episode takes place in the past in Henry VIII’s bedroom, very-likely just a pre-credit sequence. Most of the story is on modern earth.
We also know that this episode has a big UNIT presence. A character called Kate Stewart (played by Jemma Redgrave) will feature, leading to speculation that she may be the late Brigadier’s daughter. Her character featured in spin-offs Downtime and Dæmos Rising.
