Matt Smith Hasn’t Quit

Curiously timed to coincide with the return of Doctor Who, Saturday’s edition of the Daily Mirror is running an exclusive on the cover claiming Matt Smith has quit the show.

However the report has already been denied by the BBC.

BBC Head of Communications, Sam Hodges said on Twitter: “Matt Smith hasn’t quit – just an over excitable headline.”

He added: “It’s taken from comments saying he won’t be doing it forever. He’ll be around for a good while yet.”

So best not to panic yet!
