Series 7 Casting: Tamzin Outhwaite
Former EastEnders actress Tamzin Outhwaite has hinted at a future role in Doctor Who.
In a video interview with Flicks and the City, Outhwaite revealed: “I think I’m doing a Doctor Who soon… All I know is, I think it’s happening… I’d like play a baddy but I haven’t done a goody for a while now, so it’ll be nice to play a goody.”
In other casting news this week, X Factor contestant Zoe Alexander was spotted during the filming of Neil Cross’ other episode from the second half of Series 7. It is believed it will only be a bit-part role. She said: “It’s great to be working on Doctor Who – the people are a lot nicer than some you get to meet working in TV. I’m loving it but I’m hoping that this is just a start for me.”
Meanwhile, the first piece of casting for Neil Gaiman’s episode was been revealed and it’s an intriguing if bizarre one. Calvin Dean will be playing a character called “Ha-Ha”… And that’s no joke.
UPDATE: Outhwaite will also be in Gaiman’s episode playing a character called Capt Alice.
