Filming on Series 8 of Doctor Who continued on Monday evening and we now have a first look at the Doctor’s gadget of choice and a very creepy new monster.

The scenes being shot were for episode 3 or 6 directed by Paul Murphy (writer presently unknown).
Anyone hoping for a new Sonic for a new Doctor, prepare for disappointment. The 12th Doctor’s looks very similar, if not identical, to Matt Smith’s. Still, perhaps he gets a new one later? The bigger change is what Capaldi is wearing. Although it seems this is just a disguise.
