2014’s Christmas Special Director

Put those Peter Jackson hopes

on hold for another year. According to the producer’s online CV, Paul Wilmshurst will be directing this year’s Doctor Who Christmas special.

Wilmshurst has already directed two episodes of Series 8: episode 7 and 8, written by Peter Harness and Jamie Mathieson respectively.

Filming on the festive special begins after the World Tour with Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman confirmed to return earlier in the week.
