Always the favourite, it will come as little surprise to many to see the 50th anniversary special taking the top spot. Well over a year after broadcast and out of the initial hype period the story has shown little sign of diminishing in the hearts of the majority, with an impressive average score of 9.40.
As we saw from the recent Face-off tournament final, The Day of the Doctor also had no trouble knocking out every episode it was pitted against. Even the mighty Blink could only muster a 23.84% share of the overall vote in yesterday’s grand final.
