Russell T Davies Hints 13th Doctor Has Been Cast
Speaking to AndyVision, the former Doctor Who showrunner was asked about Capaldi’s potential replacement and replied: “Having worked on it, I’m leaving it to them.
“And every time you pass any sort of comment on Doctor Who they go mad. … It’s like me asking you about the job you did five years ago.”
Crucially, he later added: “And I do know who it is.”
This shouldn’t come as a surprise as Capaldi will be filming his final episode imminently and the next Doctor will have to be available to film. And that means we may see a formal announcement soon…
