Elisabeth Sladen’s Birthday

The late, great Elisabeth Sladen was born on this day in 1946.

Sladen of course played one of Doctor Who’s longest-serving companions, first appearing as Sarah Jane Smith alongside the Third Doctor in 1973’s The Time Warrior.

She then went on to have many adventures with the Fourth Doctor, and latterly met both the Tenth and Eleventh Doctors in spin-off The Sarah Jane Adventures.
