14th Doctor Wasn’t Present for Jodie Whittaker’s Regeneration Filming

Filming on the 13th Doctor’s final episode wrapped this week, but when quizzed about filming her regeneration scene and the next Doctor, Jodie Whittaker said the actor wasn’t present.

Speaking on The Graham Norton Show (which airs tonight on BBC1), she said (via Metro): “They are never going to tell me who it is. We filmed some scenes, but the new Doctor wasn’t there.”

She added: “I wasn’t there for Peter [Capaldi], and I only met him months later when I passed him in the street!”

On Series 13, Whittaker teased: “It’s like a six-hour film, and it is amazing.”
