YOUR Verdict on “Eve of the Daleks”
It’s time to reveal DWTV’s poll results for the 2022 New Year’s special, “Eve of the Daleks”, as voted for by you.
“Eve of the Daleks”: Score Breakdown
As always, we asked you to rate the episode on a scale from 1 to 10. We then took an average.
- A few thousand of you voted, and the average score was 6.38. According to the Doctor Who TV score guide, this indicates the episode was generally considered to be in the “above average” range.
- This leaves “Eve of the Daleks” as the 137th highest-rated episode of the whole revival (according to the DWTV ranking polls taken in 2018). More specifically, it is situated between “The Rebel Flesh” (6.37) and “The Rings of Akhaten” (6.39).
- This is the second highest-rated episode of the New Year’s Dalek trilogy.
- The standard deviation – which is our measure for how divisive an episode is – was 2.87 making it the 5th most divisive episode of the Chibnall era.
- Overall: Following “The Vanquishers” very poor performance, this is an improvement, though still far from ideal.
Series 13 Episode Ranking
The Series 13 episode ranking looks like this:
