Capaldi: Clara’s Exit Is Very Sad, But Not Quite What You Think
Speaking on BBC Radio 1, Capaldi said: “I found it really sad to say goodbye to her … I don’t want to go into what happens, because it’s very clever what happens in it, but it’s very sad. It’s really sad.”
He added: “It’s not quite what you think is going to happen. You think what’s going to happen is going to happen, and then something else happens. That’s what’s wonderful about Doctor Who. it’s always clever the way these things are done. It’s not quite as straightforward as it appears.”
“So get lots of hankies ready. It’s sad over a number of weeks.”
Peter was also asked about when he was filming the next series, and he would not be drawn on an exact date: “I think next year… at some point.”
