Capaldi: Twelve & Clara Romance Would Be “Creepy”

Despite Moffat’s more controversial comments on the subject earlier in the year, Peter Capaldi has maintained that a romance between Clara and Twelve would be “creepy.”

Speaking in this week’s issue of the Radio Times, Peter said: “I was keen there shouldn’t be a romantic element. It would have been completely creepy.”

He added: “It’s fine if you have handsome young men like Matt [Smith] and David Tennant, but as a father, I felt it would be inappropriate.”

“And it’s forged a huge bond between us. There’s no romance, but there’s deep love.”
