Gillan: No leaving regrets

Karen Gillan has said she has had no regrets over her decision to leave Doctor Who.

In light of her win

at the 2012 National Television Awards last night, Gillan was asked backstage if she regretted her choice to leave: “I don’t regret it, but there is a huge part of me that is so sad to be going,” she replied.

“I can say honestly from the bottom of my heart, I’ve had the best years of my life on this show and don’t know if I’ll ever going to have this much fun again. So I’m really sad to be going but all stories come to their natural end. It’s time to move on to other things.”
