Happy Birthday, Sylvester McCoy & Sophie Aldred
Sylvester McCoy was born 20 August 1943 and today celebrates his 80th birthday.
McCoy, of course, succeeded the Sixth Doctor Colin Baker. He played the seventh incarnation of our favourite Time Lord until the show’s cancellation in 1989. He reprised the role for his regeneration in the 1996 TV movie.
And coincidentally, McCoy’s partner in crime Sophie Aldred, AKA Ace, is 61 today.
The Master himself, Anthony Ainley, was also born on this day in 1932. Sadly he is no longer with us, but he would have been 91 years old.
