Happy New Year 2015!
The clock has stuck midnight and 2015 has now officially arrived in the UK!
While 2014 couldn’t possibly match the extravagance of 2013, it was nonetheless another exciting and big year for the show. We welcomed in a whole new Doctor in the form of Peter Capaldi in his first full series. It was undoubtedly a bit of a gamble for Moffat and the team to bring in an older, colder Doctor this time around, but the results seem to have paid off, with the BBC openly declaring Series 8 a massive success.
2015 will make another landmark for Doctor Who as this March will mark 10 years since the show returned to our screens. Will there be any treats in store? We’ll have to wait and see. Of course later in the year we’ll have Series 9 to look forward to with Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman both returning. With filming set to begin very soon in January, we might just get a glimpse of the action to keep us all speculating.
Until then Doctor Who TV would just like to thank all our readers and contributors for helping make 2014 another great year for the site. Onwards!
