Matthew Graham Returns for Series 6

Steven Moffat has confirmed that Life on Mars and Ashes to Ashes creator Matthew Graham will write a two-part story for Series 6. Moffat broke the news in the latest issue of Doctor Who Magazine.

Graham previously wrote for Doctor Who back in 2006 with the episode Fear Her. His new story will comprise episodes 5 and 6 of Series 6, directed by Julian Simpson.

Moffat teased the episode and says it will be a “…thrilling and terrifying two-parter. The Doctor will face a dilemma the like of which he’s never seen before.”

Graham confirmed on Twitter that episode 5 will be called, “The Rebel Flesh” and 6, “Gangers“.

The magazine also reveals that (as we suspected) Moffat will be writing episodes 7 and 8. So that means they’ll be two, two-parters in a row, which is another first since Doctor Who returned. Although the conclusion of the third two-parter will be separated by the summer break.

So far the line-up is – Moffat two-parter, Neil Gaiman, Mark Gatiss, Matthew Graham two-parter, Moffat – summer break – Moffat. Only five left to go.
