“Orphan 55” & “It Takes You Away” Writer Looks Set to Return for Series 13

Series 13’s first writer appears to have been outed.

Ed Hime will pen one episode of Jodie Whittaker’s third Doctor Who series, according to his online CV.

Hime wrote the generally well-received “It Takes You Away” for Series 11, and then not so well-received “Orphan 55” for Series 12. In fact DWTV readers voted the latter episode the 5th lowest rated of the whole revival. We can only hope the next episode will be a return to form.

Series 13 was due to begin filming in September, though plans may be subject to change due to the ongoing Coronavirus crisis.
