R.I.P. June Whitfield (1925 – 2018)

Doctor Who TV is saddened to report on the passing of Dame June Whitfield.

Whitfield had a wide-spanning acting/comedy career, but was probably best known to Whovians for her short but memorable guest role in David Tennant’s 2009 swan song The End of Time, where she played cheeky Silver Cloak member Minnie Hopper.

Whitfield was said to have died peacefully on Friday night at the age of 93.
