Smith will be the Doctor…Forever
Matt Smith’s future on Doctor Who beyond the next 14 episodes
Last year there were reports of him leaving after the next series to pursue a Hollywood career. Then there was that other comment earlier this year saying he only had “one more year left.”
Now, he has addressed the question once again in a recent interview. The good news is, Smith says he still loves making the show and indicated he wants to continue for a while yet.
Asked how long he plans to stay for, he replied: “Forever. 50 years. I’m loving making it.”
He added: “I think we’ve got one of our strongest seasons yet coming up. I really do. We go into the 50th year all guns blazing. And I’ll be around. So…that’s it, really.”
