The Big Bang Spoilers
Spoiler Warning!
We’d usually have posted a trailer for the next episode by now, but as you may have noticed, there wasn’t one for The Big Bang. The official Doctor Who site currently has the same “Time is running out” trailer used last week for The Pandorica Opens, but we’d be surprised if there wasn’t an official one coming sometime over the next seven days. The BBC have confirmed there will be a preview clip coming on Tuesday, at least.
In the meantime, what do we know about episode 13? First up, here’s the official BBC synopsis again for those that may have missed it.
The Doctor is gone, the Tardis has been destroyed, and the universe is collapsing. The only hope for all reality is a little girl who still believes in stars.
Pretty vague, but combine this with the leaked pictures from last week and we have more to go on. In the pic above, River is alive and kicking, somehow surviving the TARDIS explosion.
In the first pic below, we see young Amelia Pond in what looks like a museum containing the sealed Pandorica. That is obviously the little girl mentioned in the synopsis.
The Doctor is back, perhaps freed from the Pandorica by Amelia. Then we see a stone-like Dalek also in the museum next to something Egyptian on the left (Cleopatra?). The Doctor confronts the Dalek and it doesn’t look in good health.
That’s it for now, stay tuned for more over the next week!
The Big Bang airs next Saturday 26th June at 6.05pm. Fortunately, the episode has a extended running time of 55 minutes. It’s going to be a long wait!
