The Power of Three Teasers
Here are Doctor Who TV’s first set of teasers for The Power of Three. More coming soon.
- The episode could have easily been from the Russell T Davies era, with an Earth invasion, world newscasts and celeb cameos
- Imagine all the good bits of The Lodger mixed with The Eleventh Hour mixed with Army of Ghosts. And chuck in some Pond Life
- It’s a bit of a tearjerker in places, but also has some truly heart-warming scenes and performances
- The only real niggle is the rushed resolution of the invasion plot
- UNIT’s new Head of Scientific Research, Kate Stewart (Jemma Redgrave) is superb and instantly gels with Smith
- Opening line: “Life with the Doctor was like this…” Followed by a montage of the Ponds’ adventures so far
- Fish fingers and custard
- There’s a beautiful scene with Brian where he confronts the Doctor about what has happened to past companions
- An old foe makes an appearance without making an appearance
- “He said he learnt that from ** *** *****”
- The main villain, Shakri, doesn’t get revealed until late on, but possibly sets up a potential future threat
- “It’s not possible…”
