The Return of Doctor Mysterio Teasers
Clint Hassell brings you 15 hints and teasers for the 2016 Christmas special of Doctor Who.
- Literally, the first thing you see is quite graphic.
- The Doctor is “expected.” At first, I was reminded of the final scene of “The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe,” but the joke’s payoff is even more clever.
- And, actually, Amy and Rory do get referenced, though it is one of Who’s most subtle in-jokes in a long while.
- Um . . . that was not a Jelly Baby.
- The Doctor’s plan: wait for it to pass. (Ew.)
- The “complication” in Grant’s life is a really fun surprise.
- “I’m in hell. Naked hell. . . . I have X-ray eyes. I like everyone.”
- “I’ll hurt Mr. Huffle.” (This woman is crazy. This scene is so nuts, my jaw was literally dropped.)
- “I prefer ‘mild-mannered.’”
- She comes when you whistle.
- “I created a distraction. I flooded downstairs with *******.”
- Every leader has a zipper in their head . . . but it’s not the Slitheen.
- “Who are you?” “I’m the nanny!” (Best use of a baby monitor ever!)
- “You’ll be fine. The ship will have blown up long before you are strangled to death.”
- U.N.I.T.! (And not just U.N.I.T., but ******, too!)
