The Snowmen BBCA Trailer Breakdown

So let’s take a closer look at the latest BBC America trailer for The Snowmen. Once again, this is just looking at the new and/or most interesting scenes.

We open with some children playing in the snow. This particular young boy is Walter (Cameron Strefford) and this part of the episode set in 1842. He gets a surprise when this Snowman talks back to him.

The Doctor is concerned: “Hello?”

Notice the stars in the background – “There’s a man called the Doctor. He lives on a cloud in the sky.”

Clara: “Did you make this snowman…?”

“…Cos it wasn’t there a second ago.”

Part of the same scene where we learn the Snowmen are feeding on Clara’s thoughts.

“That’s not possible.”

Didn’t you learn anything from your 10th incarnation, Doctor? The impossible is frequently possible.

Voice of the Snowmen (Ian Mckellen): “There is danger here.”

Clara: “RUN!”

Clara and the Latimer children, Francesca (Ellie Darcey-Alden) and Digby (Joseph Darcey-Alden), get an uninvited guest.

Snow is being blown from this device into the garden.

Vastra warns: “This snow could be a terrible weapon in the wrong hands.”

The most intriguing scene of the new trailer. Clara is grabbed by the creepy Ice Governess. Also notice they just inside the TARDIS giving another sneak peek of the new interior.

Simeon: “Winter is coming… The last winter of humankind.”

So Moffat’s been watching Game of Thrones then.

A continuation of the scene where the Doctor walks through the park whistling “Silent night”. He ascends the ladder leading to the TARDIS, later followed by Clara.

“G.I.” on the gate, hmm.
