The longlist nominations have opened for the
2016 National Television Awards and Doctor Who is once again represented in two categories.
The show has been nominated for Best Drama. It faces competition from a whole host of shows including Downton Abbey, Call the Midwife, The Fall and Broadchurch.
Peter Capaldi is up for Drama Performance against Christopher Eccleston, David Tennant, Jenna Coleman, and more besides in the combined Best Drama Performance category.

The longlist will be narrowed down to a shortlist in January when the final voting takes place. The awards ceremony will take place 20 January 2016.
