Who is the Ultimate Doctor? Final
Doctor Who’s 60th anniversary is just around the corner, so what better time to ask the hardest question of all: Who is the ultimate Doctor from the past 60 years?
In the lead-up to the big day, DWTV will be hosting a series of elimination battles pitting Doctor against Doctor until we have a winner.
Today’s battle
It’s David Tennant vs Tom Baker (again!). How? This is a double-elimination tournament, so a Doctor has to lose twice to be removed from the competition entirely.
Tom Baker initially lost to David Tennant. However, in a subsequent match, Tom Baker defeated Matt Smith, which led him to a rematch against David Tennant. In this upcoming rematch, the stakes are as follows:
- If Tom Baker loses again to David Tennant, he will be eliminated for the second time, thus ending the tournament with David Tennant as the winner.
- If Tom Baker wins this rematch, both he and David Tennant will have one loss each in the tournament. Consequently, a third and final match between them will be necessary to decide the ultimate winner.
