Your Doctor of the Decade Is…
This month Doctor Who TV readers voted to decide their Doctor of the Decade from the five revival incarnations. Over the course of ten Face-Off rounds each Doctor battled every other Doctor once. Today we can reveal the results!
War Doctor
0 Wins. Lost against every other Doctor.
Ninth Doctor
1 win. Beat the War Doctor.
Twelfth Doctor
2 wins. Beat the War Doctor and Ninth Doctor.
Eleventh Doctor
3 wins. Beat the War Doctor, Ninth Doctor and Twelfth Doctor.
Tenth Doctor
4 wins. Beat every Doctor faced. Although this was not an easy win. His battle with Matt Smith was very, very close riding at an equal split for the majority of the voting period. Only latterly did the gap start to widen ending with a 55.26% share in Tennant’s favour.
However…
There is also another twist in the tale. When seeding the competition we asked you to rank the Doctors with a score out of 10. If we look at those results we see the same order, but a different winner emerges:
- War Doctor – 8.03 (average score /10)
- Ninth Doctor – 8.37
- Twelfth Doctor – 8.57
- Tenth Doctor – 8.58
- Eleventh Doctor – 8.64
So while Tennant won in direct battles, Matt Smith wins on overall score. In the end though we can see that every Doctor was ranked very closely to each other, as to be expected.
