YOUR Verdict on “Can You Hear Me?” – A Nightmare
It’s time to reveal DWTV’s poll results for the seventh episode of Series 12, “Can You Hear Me?”, as voted for by you over the last week or so.
“Can You Hear Me?”: Score Breakdown
As always, we asked you to rate the episode on a scale from 1 to 10. We then took an average.
- A few thousand of you voted, and the average score was 5.94. According to the Doctor Who TV score guide, this indicates the episode was generally considered to be just shy of “Above Average”.
- This leaves “Can You Hear Me?” as the 17th lowest rated episode of the whole revival (according to the DWTV ranking polls taken in 2018). More specifically, it is situated between “Kill the Moon” (5.95) and “The Battle of Ranskoor Av Kolos” (5.93).
- The Chibnall era has now seen 6 of the 18 episodes so far enter the bottom 20.
- The standard deviation – which is our measure for how divisive an episode is – was 2.77. Knocking “Praxeus” off its perch just a week later, “Can You Hear Me?” is now the most divisive episode of Series 12 so far.
- Overall: While a slight improvement on last week, this is still another disappointing result. It seems probable that the controversial Graham and Doctor ending scene had an effect on the score this week.
