YOUR Verdict on “It Takes You Away” – Another Record-Breaker…

It’s time to reveal DWTV’s poll results for the ninth episode of Series 11, “It Takes You Away”, as voted for by you over the last week or so.

“It Takes You Away”: Stat Breakdown

As always, we asked you to rate the episode on a scale from 1 to 10. We then took an average.

• A few thousand of you voted, and the average score was 7.12. According to the Doctor Who TV score guide, this indicates the episode was generally considered to be “Good”. This places the episode in the upper scores this year, though we’re still lacking something we can call truly great (8+), unfortunately.
• This leaves “It Takes You Away” as the 86^th highest rated episode of the revival (according to the DWTV ranking polls taken from earlier in 2018). More specifically, it is situated between “The Runaway Bride” (7.13) and “The Pyramid at the End of the World” (7.11).
• The standard deviation – which is our measure for how divisive an episode is – was 2.88. Oh dear. Just when you thought this series could get any more divisive, along comes a talking frog to reset the paradigm. This episode is so divisive in fact, it now tops previous champ “Hell Bent” to take the throne as most divisive episode of the whole revival!
• All in all, a bit of a mixed set of fortunes. The score is decent (if unremarkable), but it also comes with undesirable statistic attached.
