YOUR Verdict on Ncuti Gatwa’s Casting as the Doctor

With all the David Tennant return news and subsequent filming of the 60th over the last week, it’s easy to forget that just a week before, Ncuti Gatwa was announced as playing the next Doctor (or is he…?).

Following the news, Doctor Who TV asked you to vote on how happy you were with the casting, and now after collecting over 16,000 votes, we can present the results.

As we can see from the graph, a majority 60% voted “yes”.

DWTV ran this poll for the past couple of Doctors immediately after they were announced, so let’s quickly look back and compare the results.

Using this comparison, we can therefore statistically conclude that voters are happier with Gatwa’s casting than they were with Jodie Whittaker’s, but not quite as happy as they were with Peter Capaldi’s casting.
