YOUR Verdict on “Praxeus” – Hazardous Waste
It’s time to reveal DWTV’s poll results for the sixth episode of Series 12, “Praxeus”, as voted for by you over the last week or so.
“Praxeus”: Score Breakdown
As always, we asked you to rate the episode on a scale from 1 to 10. We then took an average.
- A few thousand of you voted, and the average score was 5.43. According to the Doctor Who TV score guide, this indicates the episode was generally considered to be “Average”.
- “Average” doesn’t sound too bad on paper, but if we look at the score in the wider context of all the episodes in the revival thus far, this episode did very poorly. In fact, this score leaves “Praxeus” as the 8th lowest rated episode of the whole revival (according to the DWTV ranking polls taken in 2018)! More specifically, it is situated between “The Curse of the Black Spot” (5.46) and “The Tsuranga Conundrum” (5.17).
- The Chibnall era has now seen 5 of the 17 episodes so far enter the bottom 20.
- The standard deviation – which is our measure for how divisive an episode is – was 2.74. This is the most divisive episode of Series 12 so far.
- Overall: after last week’s all-time high (for the Chibnall era at least) it’s disappointing to see yet another episode drop so low, to say the least…

The poor performance of “Praxeus” has pushed the series average down to 6.59.
