YOUR Verdict on Spyfall, Part 2 – Solid, If Not Spectacular
It’s time to reveal DWTV’s poll results for the second episode of Series 12, “Spyfall, Part 2”, as voted for by you over the last week or so.
“Spyfall, Part 2”: Score Breakdown
As always, we asked you to rate the episode on a scale from 1 to 10. We then took an average.
- A few thousand of you voted, and the average score was 7.01. According to the Doctor Who TV score guide, this indicates the episode was generally considered to be in the “Good” range.
- This score leaves “Spyfall, Part 2” as the 92nd highest rated episode of the revival (according to the DWTV ranking polls taken from 2018). More specifically, it is situated between “The Unicorn and the Wasp” (7.08) and “The Unquiet Dead” (7.00).
- Although a slight drop from Part One, this is another pretty decent result for a Chris Chibnall episode. This is his 3rd highest rated solo-written episode yet behind “Spyfall, Part 1” (7.43) and “The Woman Who Fell to Earth” (7.35).
- The standard deviation – which is our measure for how divisive an episode is – was 2.64. Unfortunately, it’s another extremely polarising result, and even more divisive than the already high first part. In fact, it’s only a fraction less divisive than 2018’s “The Tsuranga Condundrum” (2.65).
- Overall though, this is a solid, if not spectacular result for Series 12.
